Halloween Carving & Pumpkin Carving!

House Update

Checked on Steve's house again today and it is coming along nicely. The siding is going on, the sheetrocking is almost up, the insulation is being blown in the attic...we just need some sunny and warm days for the painters to finish outside work. The cement is all poured and the sidewalks, patios and driveway are looking awesome!

There has been a little *bump* in the project with the patio door being too narrow for the wheelchairs to get thru the opening, we didnt see the needed allowance for the door handle taking about 6 inches!!! The larger slider will go in as soon as it comes in!

our apple tree & grapes

We were so excited that our apple tree produced apples for the second time. Last year we got a few apples, this year they were bigger and are really tasty. The grapes are Rich's project. They look so pretty hanging on the vine...I made some juice, and will give some away. They are a concord grape, so are basically for jelly or juice.

Every day we have a little piece of heaven on earth as we see the everchanging reflections on the lake. From eagles soaring, to memories of little boys fishing on an old pontoon or a little girl's first success at water skiing or the outrageous laughter as our firstborn enjoys a boatride. Here and now as we grow old together we will see if only in our mind's eye these things we treasure and those we look forward to in as many tomorrows as we may have left on this earth.
